  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Although some tasks were tedious, it was a great experience with many enjoyable perks.

  • All employees I met were encouraging and friendly .

  • As I was new to accounting I thought I would struggle but in the end I received fantastic assistance in all the tasks I did and learnt valuable skills.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were one or two days where work was hard to come by but the majority of the time was filled with worthwhile work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • From day one you are given tasks that contribute to actual client work and as time progresses I was given tasks of more responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned to manage my time in a much more structured way.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly, interesting but at the same time hard working.

  • Perhaps too many interns for the work available but my own personal experience was fantastic.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Time was set aside to help me learn all the required information and there was an introductory weekend away which was great. More IT training was required however.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Often went for drinks and organised a night out towards the end of the placement.

  • Fairly reasonable for a city centre.

  • Plenty to do in Birmingham City Centre.
