  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • When I started my placement, I quickly felt like "part of the team".They treated me exactly the same as any other member of staff which really helped. Everyone within the team are really nice and easy to talk to!

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given lots of support throughout my years placement. I would often have regular informal catch up's with my manager. I also had informal appraisal's every couple months with my manager to review my progress and achievements but to also set new targets for the coming months. Although you are given plenty of support, you do need to be able to work independently most of the time as there is always lots going on!

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most days are super busy, with lots of different tasks to complete across both Marketing and PR - so I had to quickly learn to prioritize the heavy workload. My workload changed depending on the time of the year and games line up schedule. For example, the time leading up to events often meant the workload significantly increased!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I have been given quite a lot of responsibility during my role this year. Including, managing the video marketing asset output for all titles. This involves managing relationships with our US head office, agencies and our local offices. Also working in PR, I have to compile coverage reports for across over 9 territories. This often involves working to tight deadlines.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have developed many skills during my placement at Warner Bros, the most important skill being time management! Working with strict deadlines and a high workload has really developed this area. There is also HR training throughout the year, aimed at developing your skills in a number of different areas.
