Overview
Frontend engineer working on the rewards section of Expedia Group's brands. This involves testing and working on frontend components in this section of the website. My role requires me to attend daily stand-ups and other team meetings, as well as actively work on tickets assigned to me.
Skills
I have developed my frontend skills with using technologies such as React and Typescript, and learnt about many other technologies and tools such as GraphQL, GitHub actions and CypressJS.
Responsibilities
A reasonable amount considering I am an intern. I was not working on crucial tasks but nevertheless the work I did was meaningful and important to the team's success and progress.
Support & Guidance
I had several points of contact if I needed any help, including my mentor, navigator, manager and teammates
Culture
Very welcoming and relaxed environment whilst still feeling like a very productive environment.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it very much, I thought there were many opportunities to meet other interns as well as learn a lot about how it is working in a big company.
