    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In business consulting work is very varied and diverse. They are multiple projects related to credit risk, liquidity or capital risk. We work with prudential risk and recovery or resolution planning. Helping our clients deal with and help account or safeguard their risks in line with regulations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • It is a non-stop gaining of new skills everyday. As an intern you enter with little knowledge on the team, and what they do exactly, they keep training you and offering constant help. They are numerous platforms for continuous learning, as SuccessFactors or EYBadges.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • The internship is only 4 months which doesn't leave for many opportunities. However EY and your team does ensure you get the greatest exposure possible. They even add a VR week for one to experience the full consulting experience in virtual reality! I did get to have some responsability in my team which was amazing!

  • The support and guidance could not be better. The culture at EY is immaculate, it cannot get better that this!

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture at EY was amazing! Everyone is always willing to help out, without judgement or superiority. People are flexible, as long as you put in the work and meet deadlines, everyone is supportive and free to let each individual organize itself as they can!!

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • It was amazing. Working within this culture, diversity and bright people was the best. A place where they encourage work with clients but also stimulate everyone to pursue other (side of desk) initiatives within the EY Community. Taking their purpose very seriously to: build a better world.
