    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • During the placement year, my key responsibilities included: - Salon CRM email templates (service led and branded)- creating templates that add value for salon customers and drive client footfall to book a service. - Providing insights and analysis on website performance using google analytics, looker studio, domo and SEO reports. - Key contact in PPD for Qualifio platform, helping the brand teams identify optimisation opportunities to improve consumer user experience across their websites.

  • The top 3 skills I have developed during my placement: -Data & analytical skills (converting numbers into insights and actions) -Digital consultation skills (highting the benefits to those who may still be non-believers of digital to innovate salons and their ways of working) - Presentation skills

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • During my placement, I was given a great deal of responsibility. This varied from having full autonomy of creating CRM emails which were sent through our Salon Software Platforms out to Salon Clients, to being the champion of PPD in manager the new data capture platform Qualifio.

  • The support and guidance from my team was great! Anytime I needed help with a task I never feared asking a question and always felt comfortable being open with the team when I was struggling.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture and general atmosphere was filled with friendly employees & many opportunities to go to different brand talks and workshops available. Learning Fridays provided great opportunities to develop skills and broaden my knowledge to different tops in a friendly, relaxed manner.

  • My placement was an amazing year! I was able to develop so many skills and launch myself first hand into the world of work. I created many long lasting friendships too.

  • L'Oréal is a placement which will give you a lot of autonomy over projects! Be prepared to be a part of a team where you will do hands on work!
