    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a Digital Marketing Intern, I manage the brand’s overall website content to make sure everything’s up-to-date in line with new launches and mother brand projects. I also support my team with driving customer engagement, enhancing SEO content, and launching review campaigns. As I work across various categories I’m also able to support the teams in various projects including online and social media content to constantly improve the digital presence for the brand.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Yes. Throughout the year I have developed an eye for detail when checking the brand content before pushing it live. Along with that, I have been able to polish my creative skills and my leadership abilities when given full responsibility for a project. In a professional environment, I have been able to organise my tasks and be on top of all the deadlines.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes! I’ve been the main point of contact for most of the teams we work with to optimise the website content and help support them during all upcoming campaigns. I was clear about these responsibilities since the first day and I’m proud to own it.

It’s because of them that I’ve been able to develop and polish a lot of the skills I’ve gained throughout my placement. I’ve been constantly learning as I progress within this role and I’m glad to have been able to work with so many helpful and experienced people around.

  • At L’Oréal I’ve enjoyed the responsibilities I’ve been getting on regular basis for projects I’m 100% owning. Everyone makes sure the interns get the actual exposure within a professional working environment which prepares them for later years. I’ve experienced some of the best socials within the company which has been a great opportunity to meet people from other teams and divisions.
