  • Support to internal stakeholders HRM system up to date with key information, job changes, movements, structure changes Research, analyses and presents HR business data to provide insight and support solutions to internal stakeholders Co-ordination of team events, and internal stakeholder events Manages HR induction Aligning UK entities to policies and procedures

  • I have developed more in depth skills in Excel functions, using them for reporting purposes. I have more insight into employee relations in terms of case work Gained a better perspective of how 'support teams' work Developed more skills in procedural writing and presentations Developing my skills in public speaking, becoming more comfortable with this process

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I am given responsibility within my role, I have been part of many projects feeling like an equal partner within those projects. I feel I am a vital part of my team and support with month end reporting, and other BAU tasks. I have been able to provide my team with knowledge and experience form previous roles.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I always receive the best training possible and I am never afraid to ask questions when I do not understand something, my team overall are very supportive and I have gained a well rounded experience of HR processes and procedures. My line manager is also excellent at seeking me support and making sure I have the background of something instead of expecting me to know.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Everyone within the company know what their tasks are, understand the importance of being a professional work place and take pride in the work they do. All teams support each other when they can, everyone is accountable for their work, open and honest.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I am very much enjoying my time at BMW and would recommend anyone thinking to join BMW to do so. As mentioned they take pride in what they do, they're a respectable hardworking workplace and strive as a team to hit objectives and targets set. I have had a really well rounded experience of all aspects of the department I work within and each team I have been apart of have taken me under their wing, and I really appreciate all the support.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group
  • I would go for it, their recruitment process is pressure because they are a very well known brand, but that shouldn't stop you applying. They're a great company to work for. They believe in their employees and always strive to get the best for them. There are lots of opportunities to work in cross departments once in BMW, they encourage internal moves, so you're able to get a well rounded business experience.
