    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My day to day role varies a lot depending on what projects I am working on but it typically involves working with customer services teams to improve customer satisfaction, emailing suppliers to discuss upcoming projects and working on social media content for the companies LinkedIn. An ongoing project is our customer community this is who we send our surveys too, I build surveys and send them to our panel manager to distribute.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learnt/developed a huge amount of skills working here, Confidence is probably the biggest skill I've developed, Confidence to talk to a range of people at all different levels in the business and pitch ideas/present findings from surveys. Another skill I have learnt is analysis, a big part of my role is receiving data from surveys and analysing it to find the key, interesting points to present back.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a huge amount of responsibility from day 1, I have been trusted with large reports, the companies social media account, websites and liasing with our suppliers. All of this and so much more has taught me invaluable skills that will shape my career. I have been encouraged throughout to present my ideas and have been fully supported whilst those ideas are brought to life.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received as much support/guidance as I needed, I knew if I had a problem I could always ask someone in my team for help but was also trusted to complete a task with little help if I was confident in my abilities to do it. Within my team there are 2 other interns and a graduate so we were all quite good at working together or helping one another if we needed to.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is great, everyone is really friendly and always happy to have a chat/answer any questions you have. The company does a lot of interactive days like company days or at Christmas they did the 12 days of Christmas which involved a lot of fun Christmas themed activities.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, I have met some amazing people and learnt so many things that I know are going to help me throughout my career. By doing this placement it has solidified my passion for marketing and has shown me that I can do tasks that seemed quite daunting at the beginning. I feel this placement has equipped me to go back to university and have a fresh new perspective on the course.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Mobilize Financial Services
  • Be yourself, the company is very interested in finding people that are passionate about the area they're applying for and that are keen to learn. The assessment centre is a fantastic experience to meet the current interns and get a feel for the company.
