  • The role mainly involves supporting the Continues Improvement team in different projects, reports and data analysis in order to make accounting process more efficient.

  • I have learned and developed many new and existing skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, multitask and organisation, professional can-do attitude and self-reliance, attention to details, data analysis, MS office and SAP.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I've been constantly supported by my manager throughout the year. I have received training in the beginning of the experience by the previous placement student and after that I have constantly received support by my team, in knowing I am learning, my team have always been available to answer my questions or explain me the reason why something is done in certain way or what's the background behind different projects.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Honda's culture is very open and respectful of the individuals, meaning that all ideas and questions are taken into consideration without mattering of the position in the company. Also, at the moment the company provides good working flexibility with 50% working at the office on a monthly basis.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed the placement year by developing professionally and improving many new skills, but also socially- meeting the other undergraduates, networking with people in the company and my team and preparing for the working life after university. It was a great experience to undertake to help me in feeling more confident and prepared for graduate jobs while obviously provide me with 1 year experience for my CV and many things to talk about on an interview.
