Overview
Designing and ideating new ideas for the UI, which includes new events and/or art improvements. Actively participating in meetings, presenting the work done to the rest of the team, implementing the assets and fixing art-related bugs, and participating in social & especial activities made for the interns!
Skills
I have learnt and developed my existing and new skills. I come from a different field, so everything related to games was new to me. For example, the process of learning how to implement assets in game. Same thing with the technique and workflow used to create our artworks. Since King is full of professionals, their feedback and understanding why certain things wouldn't work really helps to increase your knowledge.
Responsibilities
I had a normal grade of responsability. The responsability of being able to get a work done by myself, but always with help and support from the rest of the team, and with not very tight deadlines.
Support & Guidance
All the guidance needed! It's not always about waiting for the guidance to come. You also have to be prone to ask as much things as you want, that they will always look the best way to help you!
Culture
They were pretty nice. Everybody at King is very kind, friendly and open minded. Even with remote work, where is a bit more difficult to establish social connections, the environment has always been very cosy, and we do calls and social activities together in which we have a lot of fun.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot. It helped me to grow in many different ways. Not only as a professional, but also as a person.
