Software Developer Review

My role has been mainly a training one. I would get presentations from experienced developers about different technologies and then set tasks and challenges to go through. This helped me learn more and apply my understanding of each of these languages/ technologies.

I've learnt many new technical skills, from good coding practices to being introduced to whole new languages and platforms. Through this internship I've personally grown my soft skills and professional transferrable skills. I now feel much more confident in conducting myself in a professional manner.

Due to the short length of my internship I didn't have any real responsibility in the challenges I completed. This has only made me want to gain even more industry experience so I can grow all that I learnt from this internship.

I received extensive support and guidance all throughout the internship. I always felt like there was someone I could ask and they would be happy to help. My line manager and tech lead trainer were both really involved during my time here always checking on if there's anything I wanted to do to help my development throughout my internship.

The company culture is very relaxed and open which made working here very enjoyable. The company goes above and beyond to ensure morale is high and everyone working there is happy. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming which instantly made me feel like part of the team.

I really loved my internship to the extent where it's confirmed to me that this is the career path I want to pursue. The amount I've learnt and grown has been invaluable to me. If I were to change anything, I would do it again for longer!
