  • Thoroughly enjoyed the work I was involved with and being part of the medical excellence team. Provided a good insight into the pharmaceutical industry and allowed me to have experiences and develop skills that will be valuable when applying to jobs in the pharmaceutical industry following completing my degree. Despite the caveat of the pandemic and working remotely for the majority of the placement, the experiences and opportunities still surpassed what I expected.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to MSD
  • In the interview, demonstrate you have researched the role you are applying for and have a good understanding of the skills that will be valuable. Show you are more than your grades. Working in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in business-focussed functions, requires you to show leadership, ability to work under pressure, have motivation and perseverance, as well as strong communication skills. Assessment centres allow you to exhibit these skills and show what you can offer the company.
