By the end of my placement I was given quite a lot of responsibility but as a lot of medical affairs involves speaking to healthcare professionals and discussing complicated clinical data involving patients you are limited in how much responsibility you can have. Most of the responsibility I was given was internal work
My manager and the immediate team I work with have been very supportive in getting me involved in projects, especially considering my whole placement was virtual due to covid. My manager has also been really supportive in my career development, helping with practice interviews and reviewing my CV
The atmosphere is very friendly and everyone is always willing to help you out.
I've really enjoyed my placement and have really developed and grown professionally and personally. I would definitely return to MSD after my placement!
I'd definitely recommend applying here. For the interview try to find specific things you are interested in about the company/role and try to tailor it to MSD. Also, during the assessment centre make sure you are a team player and get everyone involved when completing group tasks.
