  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • On a daily basis, the role consists of interacting and building relationships with B2B and D2C consumers, managing orders and various queries of said customers as well as reporting on key metrics related to operations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Working in supply chain was very beneficial as I've learned how to prioritize tasks in a working environment as well as how to communicate effectively in a way that enables professional relationships to thrive. I improved my time management skills as it was a crucial part of my day to day activities. Moreover, I took part in formal training for excel and SAP that improved my techincal skills

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • If you are looking for a place where you are given responsibility from day one - L'Oréal is the right place for you. I was directly managing around 12 key accounts and had enough autonomy and trust from my team to implement my own ideas as well as take lead on various projects throughout the year

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Considering my placement took place over the strangest time in history. I could not imagine how my peers and managers could have been more supportive. Everyone I worked with was always on top of things and willing to help. Never once I felt like I could not reach out to other people which was amazing in a pandemic where everything was over teams

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • L'Oreal and especially ACD where I worked have an amazing energy and atmosphere around the place. You can see that everyone is aligned to the values of the group and the culture always puts people at the forefront of all the other goals they are trying to achieve

  • This year with L'Oreal was an amazing experience that allowed be to develop both as a professional and as a human outside of work. I had the chance to meet incredible and driven people that were an inspiration throughout my year. I've learned so many things about what it takes to be leader in one of the biggest industries in the world. 10/10 would do it again if I could
