I have learned new creative applications (photoshop, indesign, illustrator) which are integral to the role. My communication skills have been developed working in a corporate environment alongside foreign territories and external agencies. Through being involved on team calls, my understanding of business operations and strategy have also been sharpened. My time management skills have also been honed through handling multiple projects at once whilst adhering strict deadlines.
Yes. There is a huge responsibility to create and manipulate creative assets on time to help promote titles worldwide, which failing so could have serious implications. There is also a responsibility to help the finance team track spending through partially managing a budget tracker; used to note all raised purchase orders of any requests to agencies for them to complete work including localisations for example, in a financial year.
Lots, from my line manager, her apprentice and various other colleagues at WBIE, whether it be work related or more personal. Warner Bros. have been extremely caring of their employees, sending care packages and offering mental health support with everyone working from home.
Extremely friendly and welcoming to all. The organization really cares about their employees and their welfare, evident from WB making sure I was well equipped to start my placement working from home with a computer and monitor, thoroughly trained and prepped for my role with a rigorous 3-week handover period at the start, but also through sending care packages and regularly checking in with us all and offering mental health support to ensure we’re ok working remotely. The atmosphere is fun (we publish video games after all) and quite relaxed, but at the same time everyone works extremely hard for the benefit of the titles.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working at WBIE during my placement, despite working from home due to the pandemic. I am grateful to be apart of such a brilliant team and to have been apart of several successful product launches, including Fortnite DC and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate. Warner Bros. have been very supportive as mentioned above and I have enjoyed being a part of a tight knit team working in the creative services department. I have been heavily involved with multiple projects which is something that has been beneficial for my learning.

Make sure if/when you are applying for this role, you have an interest in video games and also have experience in Photoshop (that part is vital as I learned during the interview)! When applying, be yourself, be confident (not overly however) and make sure you answer questions thoroughly and honestly.
