The Role
I enjoyed my internship a lot! I was very well received and felt like a part of the team. The support I got from my colleagues was amazing! It's an internship I would definitely recommend, since it's been a great experience for me.
Even as an intern, I felt that my opinions were valued and listened to.
I definitely got all the support and guidance that I needed from everyone.
There were quite a lot of meeting in the first few weeks. But that was a big help for me to understand more of what is going on around in the studio. The work itself was in a good amount and I never felt like I had too much or not enough work to do.
I was a bit surprised of the trust they had for me taking on smaller tasks myself. Our work usually gets double checked by the team anyway so I wasn't overwhelmed by it.
My internship took place soon after I graduated so I won't use the skills for studies. But the skills I learned will definitely help me a lot in any job I will do in the future. I'm now more confident in my craft and have a better knowledge of how a company works.
The Company
Since I joined at the same time the company had a major change, the atmosphere wasn't the best all the time. But these things are given when big changes are made and despite that, people got used to the changes fast and maintained a good atmosphere most of the times.
Since the big change happened in the company in the start of the internship, some things changed for me as well. But I do think that they handled it quite well despite this.
They ensured my development and my progress in my goals with regular talks .

If the type of games fits you, then I believe that this is one of the best places you can be.
The Culture
There are lots of opportunities to be social with both other interns and colleagues.
It's a big city so it's quite expensive. But not too different from what I'm used to.
I'm sure there is, but the "Nightlife" is nothing I'm too interested. So I would't be the best person to ask about that.
King has a wide variety of organised activities, board games, football, drawing LARPing and other things. Of course there can always be more things so if there's something you're missing, you can organise it yourself.
