  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

  • Yes, there is no sense of hierarchy. The partners and associates are super friendly and approachable. You assigned trainee buddy introduces you to the other members of the team.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Th insight was really well structured. You are given a detailed timetable for the full two weeks. There is a mix of social events, practice group talks and presentations and interviews during the two weeks. There are also opportunities to attend talks, seminars and workshops.

  • The culture at the Birmingham office of SPB is great. It is professional and relaxed at the same time.

  • It helped a lot particulalry because the people at the firm go out of their way to welcome you.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, there were social events, such as bowling and pizza making. There were also welcome and farwell lunches at the beginning and end of the scheme. There was also a summer party that vacation scheme students were invited to.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Relaxed, chilled out. Only trainess attended so it didn't feel formal at all. The trainees were super friendly and approachable.

  • Pro bono, CSR and charity events. Many employees attended networking events specific to their practice groups.
