About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight - everyone I met put me at ease and I was able to do exciting work, as well as enjoying socials that were laid on for us.
Trainees and associates were very grateful when I did work for them, and also made time to talk to me in general.
Everyone that gave me work was happy to answer my questions if I had any, and explained things very well.
I have yet to put my skills into practice, however I imagine they will be invaluable on my GDL and in my future career.
The Company
I enjoyed the opportunity of being in two different practice areas; one per week worked well as it allowed me to settle in.
I have nothing negative to say about the office atmosphere - as I said above, everyone was friendly and welcoming to me.
They gave me a lot of their time, provided me with lots of equipment and also allowed me to attend their summer party.
Trainees were very open about what their day to day lives were like and we were provided with lots of opportunities to talk to them.
I was able to attend an internal event about imposter syndrome, which reflected the company culture of investing in their employees' wellbeing.
I am now more committed than ever to a career as a solicitor, having enjoyed this vac scheme very much.
Everything Else
I was paid for the two weeks of the vac scheme.
At the summer party we met everyone from secretaries to partners.
We had lots of fun and did not have to pay for anything, which was really generous.
Yes, I heard about sporting and charity opportunities, to name just a couple.
This is the first firm I would recommend to a friend asking about vac schemes.
