    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Really got an in-depth insight into all departments within Operations and got the ability to incorporate the knowledge I learned at university in a real business situation. Being the only intern gave me a better insight and more detailed knowledge into each area of the supply chain and Logistics.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Very welcoming feel, adapted well to the business within a short amount of time. I felt happy to be included in all areas, all my ideas were accepted and views on how to improve their business from a pair of eyes outside of the business were valued

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • A lot of guidance was given! I was supported by a lot of members of staff from around the business and if there was any questions, they were answered on the spot or they would investigate further for me. Throughout the first few days, more guidance was need to to be in a new environment but all was provided more than adequately.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I learned during this week will help me see business from a different perspective. To see business from a reality perspective and also to use those skills to further enhance my business analysis, observation and decision. Knowledge in operations will help me do better in Management Accounting for example.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Structure was done well, it was the first year they did this at Trafford Park and I found it to be a success. Further structure could be added as one of the conference calls were disconnected but as it was offsite, it was difficult to manage.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Welcome, encouraging and more than pleasing! It was amazing to network with other interns as well as members of staff. The atmosphere was clean, there was a true focus on sustainability, ethics and safety. The flexibility of work and the team dynamic was very good and I adapted quickly.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
