4/5
Overall, I had a good experience. I certainly came away with a much more advanced knowledge on the FMCG industry as a whole as well as Danone and its core principles that keep the company running as successfully as it is today.
We were definitely made to feel valued during our time at the Danone offices. They even went as far as to pay for extra training to be conducted for us in order to produce Insights Profiles, despite the fact this was only a 3 day insight programme.
We could have been given slightly more guidance before we were given time to do some independent work or alternatively those delivering the talks should have communicated to be on the same wavelength. Points we were told to do ended up not being feasible which wasted time on everyone's behalf.
I feel like I did not significantly develop any skills given the short time period for this insight programme.
This programme was poorly structured. We spent 3 days completing content that I believe should have been possible to complete in a single day.
I cannot fault the atmosphere at Danone. Given one of their core principles being 'healthy living' and about enjoying life, they certainly make sure their employees are happy.
The company paid in order for us to have individual Insights profiles produced.
This insight programme allowed me to learn about the FMCG industry which I previously would have been unaware of.
Everyday we spent time learning about Danone as a brand and what it stood for.
This was fairly useful as it allowed me to gain insight into FMCG and what the daily life at Danone looks like.
We were allowed to claim expenses for breakfast and dinner.
Yes there were plenty of opportunities to meet and network with current placement students and former Campus Brand Ambassadors at Danone.
They were sporadic - more could have been done to try and speak to some more senior members of staff during lunch.
Danone organise many different activities outside of work. Their office is also in Chiswick Park who also organise they own activities which many of the employees utilise.
Overall, I would recommend this to a friend if they are interested in or wanted to learn more about FMCG.
