    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The Insight Programme was well organised, informative and employees were incredibly welcoming from day one. This was a great opportunity to learn about the Danone brands and company culture. The Insight team was friendly, approachable and responsive with all questions and inquiries about the company, future opportunities and application tips/hints.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Danone really invested in getting all future Campus Brand Managers well informed about all Danone brands and products. Current graduate scheme employees, placement students and previous campus brand managers were also invited to talk about their different responsibilities and roles at Danone, which was insightful and a great networking opportunity.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The company promised to pay all travel expenses, and generously offered £20 dinner allowance to all students. Moreover, students who travelled for longer distances to reach the Danone Offices at Chiswick were offered a complementary 2-nights stay at a Travel lodge hotel nearby, with breakfast included. Lunch was provided everyday.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Danone's core values and behaviour codes were highlighted during the programme therefore I feel more confident in my application. Danone also invited all Campus Brand Managers to take an Insights Evaluator questionnaire.This was an exciting session that explored our unique personal working styles, strengths and weaknesses. This will help me develop effective strategies for interaction, relationships and decision-making in the future.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The Insight Programme was well structured. The three day agenda was sent to all campus brand managers a few days in advance before arrival. All sessions ran as planned and within the time allocated. The sessions were quite informative and interactive. Frequent short coffee / toilet breaks were given in-between sessions.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The general atmosphere was collaborative, supportive and inviting. Employees were approachable and happily engaged in chats throughout the day. The office had multiple inspirational quotes in different areas and spacious open working spaces. The kitchen was packed with fresh flavoured waters and refreshing yogurts which were free to all employees.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The company invited graduate-scheme employees and placement students to share their different experiences during the interviews and assessment centre stages and what traits Danone looks for. Being there in person and interacting with the employees was an invaluable chance to experience their unique culture over a short period of time.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • After speaking to current placement students and graduates who work in different departments, I gained a better understanding of different roles at Danone. The sessions also included information on the offered graduate schemes, application processes and eligibility. The Insight Programme Team happily answered some of my queries which helped me shape my future career plans.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • All travel expenses were reimbursed. Hotel accommodation was provided for some students who live further than 90mins away. Dinner allowance of £20 was included.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, after the company presentations, all campus brand managers had the opportunity to talk to employees working across different departments at Danone; in Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR and Supply chain. Moreover, as the programme was held at the Danone Office, there was a chance to chat to employees in-between sessions.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would recommend this insight to my friends, especially anyone looking to work in FMCGs industry. The Programme is short but very informative and insightful. During the 3 days, they will be introduced to Danone's 4 business areas and brands. It is also an invaluable chance to talk to current employees and gain insights into different roles and departments. Furthermore, it's an ideal chance to learn more about their unique culture and mission of bringing health to people through food.
