  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Placement at VWFS has been a great experience. I've learnt an awful lot and developed new skills.

  • The team i am based in is a very friendly and close team, I feel like a valued member of the team and any help i need is given straight away

  • My manager was excellent in helping me develop as an undergrad as well as recommending training courses for me to attend

  • My work load was both varied and constant, while i was busy i never felt like i was crushed under the work load.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills i've developed will help greatly when it comes to time management of my work load at uni as well as how to structure my work load. It will also allow me to think differently about different tasks

  • The atmosphere in the office is relaxed but professional

  • my placement was well structured with a variety of opportunities for me to learn new skills and interact with new areas of the business

  • I've received training for various applications as well as advanced software training, my interpersonal skills have also being allowed to develop through training courses

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene between both the undergrads and colleges was very good. Regular team nights out as well as inter department football matches.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Housing was very expensive, if i could commute from home i definitely would have. Socialising isn't too bad for Milton Keynes being so close to London.

  • Not too bad for a town, London/Northampton aren't too far away if you want a proper night out

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • VWFS does regular teamswork events for employees to engage in and 5 a-side football is very popular among departments
