The Role
I had an amazing time during my placement, my colleagues in Newcastle and France were great to work with and the company was always hosting different activities for us to take part in.
The people and P&G make you feel welcome from day one. My colleagues made a lot of effort to ensure I felt included in the team.
My manager and supervisor were both extremely helping during my placement, everyone seems to be very open and will always make time if you need anything.
The work at P&G was a mix of core work and extra activities you could become involved with, this meant that at quieter times you could look for an additional project to volunteer for.
From day one I was given the same role as the other people on my team, at first I was worried it would be too much responsibility for a new starter but my team were really great and were always available if I needed any help.
My placement provided me with a lot of transferable skills that I will be able to use in any situation or career. The company was focused on ensuring I left with a broader financial knowledge and an improved communication and presentation skills.
The Company
The atmoshphere is the office was always very postive, everyone got on really well.
I knew I knew the day I arrived what I would be doing for my entire placement. The recruitment team planned everything in advance so everything was ready when I started!
Although I was only a placement student I had the same training as all recruits at P&G, this meant keeping a personal development plan and reviewing on a monthly basis to ensure they could point me in the right direction to meet my goals.
Subsidised Canteen

P&G offered me a permanent contract when my placement was finsihed.
The Culture
Team nights and events were always being arranged, there was always something to get involved in.
Newcastle has two universities, this meant a lot of cheap accomodation was available in and around Newcastle.
Newcastle has a lot of bars, pubs and restaurants. There is something for everyone!
There are a lot of sports and social clubs and charity work to get involved with outside of work.
