  • Loved it. Great team, fun and interesting work which I really enjoyed doing.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Quite a small role but definitely felt valued for the things I did. Everyone was very lovely and we always received praise for what we did. Was also great seeing our work published on their social media pages/website.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Invited up to the office in Leeds several times so always felt supported by the team and got a good grip on how the company as a whole worked.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As it was only part-time I was not too busy but was great to fit around university work. Very flexible working hours which was great!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As an insight leader you are in charge of representing a whole university city - for me this was Oxford then London - so yes a fair bit of responsibility.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Helped me very much in my degree. I wrote my dissertation on students and the university experience so working with magpie really helped me develop the skills and knowledge to do this. Has also given me something great to put on my CV and to talk about in interviews!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We were all based in different cities around the country so social events were difficult, but on away days/office trips it was lovely to spend time with the team and other insight leaders. I've definitely made some friends.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
