The Role
It was absolutely brilliant - the company atmosphere was amazing and I had lots of really interesting things to do. It was exactly what I wanted from a placement
They were all very vocal about appreciating the work I was doing
Really good support and as everyone works in the office together someone was always nearby if I needed to ask for help.
A good balance of tasks - lots of stimulating tasks but was given the time to complete them to the best of my ability at my own place.
I was given my own project to manage fairly early on which I was very happy about - certainly more than I expected from my internship.
I learnt so much in my time at Magpie and it helped me realise that this is definitely the area I want to go in to. I am currently thinking of doing a postgraduate degree in marketing and advertising, and my new skills will help for this also.
The Company
An amazing atmosphere - probably the most memorable thing about my placement. Everyone was lovely and fun to be around, and this is what made me look forward to coming in the most.
Well organised/planned.
They really took the time to teach me and offered me various paid for external training opportunities too. They made sure I experienced as much as possible in my time, including a business trip!
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I now continue to work here part time around my studies! They were really accommodating in keeping me on around my other commitments.
The Culture
It was great as we had several work 'socials' in our time there, and an especially amazing away day!
Perhaps especially so for me as I live here for University anyway.
Leeds definitely has great and varied nightlife.
There is a lot going on in leeds because of all the Universities in the area, and anyone can join most of the sports teams at leeds uni so long as they buy a sports pass for example.
