  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

  • I felt like I had quite a bit of responsibility when collecting primary data from students that I knew would influenced decisions that Magpie made.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I'm now employed as a web developer, and the experienced I gained from my time at Magpie now helps me on a daily basis. Providing feedback on design concepts allowed me to become more critical when working on projects, and I now feel confident in analysing website designs to see the positives and negatives of each concept. Also, I gained so much confidence in myself and this made attending interviews when looking for employment much easier.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I worked from home, but when I did visit the office I always felt welcome. The atmosphere felt relaxed and calm.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everything was well organised. From Vision Days to the days when my manager visited me in Liverpool, everything ran smoothly because it was organised. I felt like I always knew what I needed to be doing and when my deadlines were.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Vision Days, where all of the Insight Leaders from around the country came together for the day, allowed me to build my confidence further through meeting other students doing the same job as me. The team building exercises that took place of Vision Days, such as a treasure hunt, helped to build relationships and develop team working skills.
