Sourcing and Selection Placement Review

It was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed both the work and social aspects of the placement. Had the chance to be part of exciting projects, meet amazing like-minded people, and really develop my skills in this placement.

I felt very valued by my colleagues. It is part of Danone's culture to celebrate even the small successes and colleagues would congratulate you on achievements. Also, coworkers have often helped me improve and develop by giving me useful feedback

Always had sufficient support and guidance. Everyone is willing to help and answer questions.

It really varies - I started my placement in a very busy time for my team so had to learn everything quickly. However, throughout the year there were some quieter periods depending on the projects I was working on. Yet, you can never be bored as you can always ask for more responsibility and help your colleagues in their work.

A lot of responsibility - it built up gradually with me learning everything and I always had a lot of support from my line manager and from the wider team. However, at one point I was fully responsible for the recruitment of the new placements and interns. Despite it being challenging at times, it felt extremely rewarding.

What is great about Danone is that you receive a lot of training and you can develop both technical skills and your personal competencies. The first will be really helpful for me if I decide to stay in HR, while the latter I can use in my everyday life. From the start of my placement, my line manager helped me create my objectives, and based on them, she helped me chose the appropriate training courses and supported me with continuous feedback. Overall, I feel like I have learned and developed a lot of usefull skills that will help me bothin my future career and personal life.

Very friendly and supportive. It is quite casual as it is an open space office.

I would love to coe back to Danone. The graduate programmes are great and the company really tries to make sure all employees are provided with the best opportunities to develop and have a good work-life balance. Since Danone is a multinational company, there is also the opportunity to join the company in another county.

Rent in the area is a bit high and there are not many clubs but there are lots of pubs and restaurants. In addition, the area is quite safe, there are lots of parks around so it's great if you're an outdoors person and overall, I really enjoyed living close to the office.

Apart from the 25 days of holiday, I was allowed to take 2 days out of the office to use for volunteering for Danone's CSR programmes. I had a great experience helping out at an event for Eat Like a Champ at the Science Museum in London. In addition, there are sports clubs that you can get involved in.
