  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • 4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very much so, just doing the day to day work was fantastic exposure, but also the seminars which gave departmental oversights on the different teams within Savills gave a breadth of understanding to Real Estate but also the strength of Savills as a company.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • 4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • As best an internship could be set up with the initial intern drinks provided, coupled with rounders match and constant stream of seminars. These events not only helped mature our understanding of Savills and property but resulted in the group having multiple situations to gel and come closer together.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • My intention to apply for a graduate position at the job has been cemented for numerous reasons: Firstly the effort of the HR team to make this much more than your standard work experience or internship. Secondly the feel of the firm, it is a fun environment and the scope of the company means you feel secure in the fact that you will find a team that suits you. Finally the people I have met, both interns, grads other members of the teams have made it a truly enjoyable process.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes there was assisted by the HR team in organising a couple of events which helped break the ice, but also I was fortunate to be with quite a sociable intake, many of whom I shall be meeting again next year at Reading, or presumably in a few years time in the property industry.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Pretty high being in the west end, lack of canteen slightly annoying and beers obviously quite pricey but London is London. As said previously good sociable group, had a lot of fun

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 3/5
