    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was a bit unlucky to be given a 'boring' job - data collection. But the internship scheme manager has been very kind and tried to the best he can to help each one of us. Also, there are many social events being organised throughout the scheme and I have met other people who have now become good friends of mine.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • It took a bit of time to get to know the people in my team, but they have all been very nice to me and they have given me the impression that they value my work very much.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My buddy is very helpful - before the scheme started, he sent me an email introducing himself and the team; after I arrived, though it took a while for us to get to know each other, he has been very kind and supportive, not only towards my work, but also my personal life.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My task is a huge one, hence it is essentially my responsibility to organize the work in a balanced way - as long as I finished it on time.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given the task of collecting data - though a bit dull, I understand that this is very important for the future analysing work; hence I would say that I still have quite a responsibility

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My course at university provided me with a very good understanding of the background of the work I do, therefore I can easily pick up the data required.
