Associate Consultant Review

There was a lot of variety of work and I found it quite challenging at times. This kept me on my toes and I was learning a lot every day. It made me ultimately want to pursue a career in this role.

I really felt part of the team from day one as they gave me a lot of responsibility and direct interaction with clients. It was to my surprise that they actually expected me to do such integral work.

I always felt there was a network of people in my team that I could easily ask questions from if I was unsure of exactly what was expected from me. They gave me detailed feedback which I constructively used in my final interview. The human resources department also ensured that I enjoyed my internship by having a review session with me.

I always had work to do and if I knew I was going to run out of some, I'd simply ask. There was also team training days which really provided a balance to the work and social aspect of working in the firm. I think I was challenged just enough to keep me entertained.

I was given enough responsibility for me to feel that I was actually an employee there rather than just an intern. This motivated me to perform to the best of my ability and provide my seniors with the work they needed.

I believe the time organisation, client interaction and communication, presentation, efficiency of work and attitude will all strengthen many aspects of what is required of my degree.

There was a very friendly and tight knit atmosphere within my department where everyone used this in a positive way to motivate each other. This was complimented by an efficient way of working. It was enjoyable to work in the office.

The internship was very well organise however there were some aspect of it that I would change. I already mentioned these to the HR department and to the manager in charge of overseeing my internship. These will hopefully be used to progress and develop the internship for the future.

As it was a short placement, there wasn't any lengthy training. I'd say the most crucial investment was that of the time given to me by the employees there to benefit my skills and knowledge.

The career progression within the firm is very appealing as is the development and training offered with their graduate programme.

Yes, there were Away Days at hotels and also social nights out. I really made some good friends with the other interns there.

I lived at home during my internship so I had minimal costs!

I didnt experience it too much but when I did it was very good and busy, with mainly young professionals going for drinks after work

Yes, there were opportunities in terms of societies and clubs but I did not get involved with any due to the short nature of my internship. I had a look on their intranet and I would definitely like to be involved with them if I join them for a full time roll.
