  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • The placement exceeded my expectations. I was given a lot of responsibility and it was challenging but rewarding.

    • I was welcomed by my team.

    • My line manager was supportive but also encouraged me to work a lot independently.

    • Most days I was busy enough although naturally there were days when I had a bit of extra time in which I sometimes didnt know how to fill.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was given a huge amount of responsibility which was great. I was given the responsibiltiy to run my own promotional workshops in call centres across the country which was challenging but I learnt a lot.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I strongly developed my communication, project management and presentation skills and I have strong evidence to prove this.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The office was quite relaxed making it feel friendly. There were nice out of work events e.g. a charity bikeride

    • It ran very smoothly and felt well organised.

    • Skills days in presentations and careers coaching were invaluable.

    • I am looking forwards to returning to Centrica to start a graduate scheme.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • The social scene was amazing and made the summer internship a fantastic experiance personally as well as profesionally.

    • Being in london, it was expensive but worth the price.

    • We made occasional trips to central London, but more often went to Windsor which was lots of fun.

    • I took part in a charity bike ride.
