Role Description
Working in the development department presented a diverse range of roles and tasks that I was involved with. Though the main project that I undertook during my time at Savills was to produce a report for Tower Hamlets Borough Council I also attended meetings with clients, site visits and conducted market research.

The office atmosphere was friendly yet everyone was hard working.

There was a good range of talks organised by HR to introduce you to each department within the company and give you an idea of the APC program.

In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
Being involved in writing a report meant that the work that I carried out had to be of a professional standard so I was constantly getting feed back and being told where I could improve my work. This was very useful.

They are a company that are very well renowned in the industry and provide a high standard of training for the APC exams. They are a company that I would be happy to work for.

Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
Yes, everyone on the internship scheme was friendly and like minded and the current staff were easy to get along with.

What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
The offices were in London's West end so the cost of living and transport were fairly high. The salary paid made it possible to socialise however I did not save as much as I initially hoped.

The nightlife in London is great.

Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
Yes there were some sports fixtures organised through work and being in London there were hundreds of other activities that could be done if one wished to get involved.
