Associate Audit Review

Working with Deloitte for two weeks was a great experience. i got to learn about the world of audit and it really helped me to decide whether a future in audit would be right for me.

I felt like i was valued as part of the team because i was given real tasks to do and i was treated as part of the team.

The team i was working with was very helpful and they took out time to explain what they where doing, the importance of the tasks and the end result. any time i was stuck or needed help a member of the team was always there to help me.

the experience i gained working at Deloitte are skills that you could never get from just studying. You may be able to learn all the theory but actually putting it into practice in a real job is a different experience that i feel we are not prepared for through university. at Deloitte i feel that i have learned new skills that i can use for any other job i may have in the future.

It was very well organised, there was an introduction day where we where taught the basics everyone needed to know no matter which department we where in. our whole time at Deloitte was planned out so that we got the most out of our experience.

I was surprised at how nice the atmosphere was in the offices at Deloitte, i was expecting it to be very much to be a strict and serious atmosphere but the people where actually pretty easygoing and made the experience quite fun and easier to work

I definitely learned some "tricks of the trade" while working at Deloitte, which I was happy about because it made me feel like i was part of the team even though it was only a two week insight.

One thing I learnt while working at Deloitte is that when you have a full time job there is little time to do anything else during the week. I also learnt that some days there will be more work than others and you may have to stay later to finish the job. I also learnt about the various benefits that you get while working full time at Deloitte.

I learnt very much about the work ethic of Deloitte and their values, I learnt how important clients are to the company and the importance of keeping a strong relationship between the firm and the clients.

It has definitely inspired me for the future and i can see Deloitte as a firm where i can build a career.

we where paid for the two weeks and also reimbursed for some expenses

i got to meet many employees from different departments thanks to social events held by Deloitte regularly, also their communication system made it very easy to contact any employee of Deloitte from all around the world.

there where social events every week where very helpful as you could socialise with different employees and ask them about their time at Deloitte and how they have found it.

i didn't really get involved in any out of work activities but i know that they do have them because there was a daily email that would let you know about any activities going on.

I would and have recommended this insight to all of my friends at university because it is a fantastic experience and will really give you a great insight into the world of big firms
