Spring Into Deloitte Review

Very enjoyable insight into the service lines that Deloitte has to offer, conducted in a friendly and welcoming environment.

You are given no real responsibility, however you are made to feel as though whatever your particular skill set, there is a place within one of Deloitte's service lines that is right for you. The whole programme is geared towards helping you find where this place is.

Presentations and interactive sessions were held by each of the service lines (other than Corporate Finance) after which there was plenty of time for questions. Moreover, networking sessions provided you with a chance to ask any individual questions that you may have. HR were also on hand to provide support as regards to any administrative/applications questions that you may have.

Nothing specifically relevant to my degree. However, enabled me to further develop some soft skills such as teamwork and leadership skills. Also helped to improve my wider commercial awareness.

There was a well structured agenda so the two days ran smoothly.

Very relaxed and friendly. The fact that this was an 'Insight' was very apparent, therefore there was a real range of knowledge amongst the interns when it came to what working in a professional services firm could be like. The evening of the first night provided a chance to attend dinner with Deloitte personnel. This was again very relaxed and allowed you to really find out what life at Deloitte is like.

A session on 'self-branding' was, although a nice idea, a little disappointing. Other than that, the firm gave you the opportunity to develop soft skills by working in teams on various case studies.

Case studies gave you a real insight into what the work within a particular department may be like on a day-to-day basis. However, the days were filled with interactive sessions and presentations rather than any real 'work' or work shadowing.

I came away very impressed with the company culture. A friendly atmosphere coupled with a clear passion for success amongst the employees is now what I come to associate with Deloitte.

Confirmed my desire to work within the professional serves industry.

Reimbursed for train fares and overnight accommodation (of good quality) was provided. Dinner was also provided on the first night as well as breakfast the following morning.
