    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, I worked on so many different projects, learnt so many new skills and worked with some really supportive people.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The majority of my colleagues made me feel really valued and supported me throughout my internship. However, on some occaisions it felt that I was not trusted to make my own decisions or work independently.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • It was 50/50. I was given support but sometimes felt very much a junior member of the team with little responsibility.

  • It varied through different times during my internship. I did find I would have to ask for work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Some members of the team gave me a lot of responsibility with tasks and major projects where I could take control.

  • I have learnt so much and they will defintely help me in my career in the future.

  • There was a good and friendly atmosphere.

  • It was very well organised up until my final months where the next steps as to my employment were unclear.

  • I feel they invested a lot of time in my development.

  • Permamnemt employment with the company would be very appealing.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As I was not on the "graduate scheme" there was no social scene for interns or graduates not on this scheme.

  • Average.

  • Being a graduate my partying days are long gone!!
