  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my time at Savills and would definately encourage others to apply.

  • All of the colleagues I worked closely with were friendly, helpful and made me feel like a part of their team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I received a great level of support, particularly from the Graduate Surveyor who oversaw my day to day working.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I think I was given a perfect balance of work, I was fully occupied throughout the day, but not overwhelmed.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was impressed by the level of responsibility I was given during the Summer Scheme, I felt that I was assigned important tasks that contributed to large team projects.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the skills I have developed during my time at Savills will serve me well when I return to University to study for a property related masters conversion course.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • All the staff at Savills were friendly and approachable. Everyone was very committed to their work.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I felt the Summer Scheme was well organised and structed. From day one the team I was assigned to had work for me to complete. The links to the Graduate Recruitment Team were also good, which I was impressed with as I was in a regional office.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given the opportunity to take part in some interesting tasks and got the chance to visit sites etc.

  • I will definately be looking to apply for the Savills Graduate Scheme.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • During a part of my placement, there was another student on work experience. We spent some time together at lunch etc.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Nottingham is a reasonably priced city.

  • I did not really have the opportunity to experience the nightlife.

  • I attended a party with clients and a staff lunch.
