    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Very informative view of the stages required within the application process, and a nice relaxed atmosphere with networking breaks to get to know other students.

  • Lunch was good, there were drinks after the day had finished which allowed us to converse with interns in a more informal environment

  • Guidance in way of asking us if weneeded help during case study game

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Application information lasted an hour and was essential, asking questions on tips one ach stage will hold me in great stead when applying for the summer internship next year

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Stuck to the timings of the day very well, had case study games and then a panel session with current interns and graduates who answered each question thoroughly

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Excellent, very spacious room and relaxing so people felt comfortable from the start and case study game allowed us to engage with others easier.

  • Only a day so wasn't too much the bank could do to train us, but the event was well organised and enjoyable

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • very much so, speaking with numerous interns and a panel discussion and to start the day there was an hour talk regarding the different division within the bank, so we learnt as much about the structure as possible.

  • We were to send receipts through pre paid envelopes rather than on the day

  • Spoke to half the current interns so learnt their day to day responsibilities, and to more experienced workers

  • As explained before, lunch wad for one hour, then drinks as well, and the panel discussion

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There is the chance to be part of fully funded for a masters in economics which was interesting to anyone considering that route

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Excellent and informative, the bank really showed a diverse employee network and from a wide range of universities, there is a clear initiative in trying to encapsulate a wider variety of opportunity
