The Role
I enjoyed the placement mainly for the respect I was given an the responsibility that was given to me.
I was valued by my colleagues an superiors as they had full confidence in me to complete any task given but was always given advise where needed
My line manager was always helpful an could contact him when ever a problem occurred
At the beginning I was slowly introduced into works that were going on in the office and by 3 weeks in I had a valid input in to main works
I was given the task of disengagement of final accounts on a telecommunications works package
Mainly in will improve my confidence an ability on working in the role beyond my degree, but also few bits of knowledge that will always help my studies
The Company
Colleagues within the office always got along in a professional manner but were always able to have a joke when needed but not to the extent of impacting on work,
Very organised, from first day I was given a desk, laptop an email account to get me going at the start an even before I started I was given a onsite joining tasks which I had to fill in to get me started an even before I started I was called in to meet everyone in the office before I started so that I knew some faces when I started
A lot there was always meetings in which the whole team were introduced to new ways of working and how the company was doing an how i could learn more with one on one meetings to improve my knowledge on contracts
Very every year there is graduate positions available and I know that with this experience I can confidently say my prospects are on the up.
The Culture
Yes there was a good relation ship with the same level as they would always help whenever I had a problem or how I could resolve any issues with the computer systems
Center of Cardiff so expect prices to be high but not as much as compared to any other capital such as london
Center of Cardiff is pack with club, bars, restaurants
Yes there was always something that was avlible to meet new people from other businesses to get your name in.
