    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was much better than I thought it would be and discovered that I really enjoyed it even though I had never done it before.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I think they really appreciated having me around to help out with little tasks to make their lives easier. I also got invited by them to different social events which made me really feel like part of the team.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was really busy so it was pretty hard to get time to talk to him about work. I would get work from them if asked but feel that more encouragement that the work I was producing was relevant and of a good enough standard.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were busier than others. I enjoyed having tasks that required more time going on in the background but being asked to return other work more quickly.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was left to get on and complete pieces of work by myself

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I did a variety of tasks throughout my placement and feel it will really help me in the future.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office had a really good vibe, everyone worked together to and consulted different teams.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • All the planned events took place though it was hard to organise some of them. There was already work for me to do when I arrived but it would have been good if there was a bigger project that I could have worked on from start to finish would have been really valuable.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • My appraisal was really pleasing and I felt they were pleased with my work. All students have to apply to the graduate scheme regardless of how their placement went but your mentor recommends whether they would put you on the graduate scheme

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was lots of events and sports to take part in and got invited to lots. There were only 2 other placement students but we got along really well and it was really good to be able to chat to them about how it was all going.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I live in Bristol anyway so there wasnt a huge cost to cover whilst working but going out isnt cheap.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Always somewhere to go.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I got invited to a client event to watch an England World Cup came which was a great opportunity to experience such an event but also to socialise.

    4/5
