  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great team, good environment and relaxed atmosphere to work in. Felt comfortable and you don't feel stressed at work, work load is flexible around you and not worried about making mistakes.

  • you really feel part of the team, they integrate you well at the start with team outings and a lot of 1:1's with everyone so you can fit in well.

  • My manager was a great help, guiding me through both work and the balance of social life. assisted me with what i wanted to do, offered advice, experiences and helped with me feeling comfortable.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Your busy enough to be working right through but not too much that you start feeling like it is your life or what you do is too much. good communication to all team about work load.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • i was given the most any one in role has been given but still didn't have much decision making, mainly as i don't have the expertise but they did take on my opinion around the role.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • given loads of online training, trained on tools, trained in presenting, communicating, stakeholders, everything relating to a normal work place. courses are very beneficial to CV and boosting your own skills

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • sometimes quiet as a lot of people OOO meeting other people or on late night calls. can be hard but it varied over the year, people are very friendly and seem interested in getting to know you and not all about work all the time

  • Intel is very well structured, know what the student wants and also gives good training for all people. a lot of students here, about 60 so helps to integrate from uni into a job with everyone else.

  • gave me free training, talk to loads of people, network, exposure to other areas. give good career advice, help you what you want to get out of placement and there is always someone who wants to listen to you.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • been a tough few years but still options to come back as a graduate which is helpful. out of 12, take back 2 or 3 as graduates but varies as if the role is free then they will take you back

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • location out in Swindon is a slight down fall as not that great but with everyone else here its a good laugh. good balance of going out and working. managers are light on internships going out and enjoying yourself so helps to not worry about being hung over

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • rent is very cheap , bills also. people are pretty close location wise and you can walk to town and to your friends house or to the pub. quite a small town to be honest

  • i enjoyed it but others didn't. depends who your with as it is for everywhere. there are a few clubs but more pub places here

  • get involved with sports teams, charity work, volunteering, different job pluses to the roles and audits for different companies.
