Spring into Deloitte Review

A very informative, fun, interactive session with the Deloitte Staff and other passionate university students.

The amount of support given by the student recruiters and employees were unparalleled. I truly felt that all the staff a helpful, supportive and friendly group of people who really took their time to ensure that we got a good, insightful look at Deloitte and what it has to offer

Every employee who we got the opportunity to talk to were always willing to answer our questions in as much detail as possible.

It was really interesting to see how specific areas such as Audit and Tax were done in a real-life situation, and it really made me think about how I could apply it to the theoretical aspects of my degree and vice-versa. It was a fun and insightful way to get out of the theoretical knowledge that uni throws at us to see how certain concepts were applicable in a real-life situation. Furthermore, the feedback given during group presentations was superb and could definitely be put into use during group projects at university.

Everything was perfect and we managed to get a really good insight to the main divisions within Deloitte within the short time-frame we had.

Rather than a full-time job, it was more geared toward how we could apply for the summer scheme and get on it. However, since most of the staff that we talked to were on the graduate scheme, we managed to get a really good insight as to what their daily routines were and what we could expect if we got into the graduate scheme.

A lot. There was a whole section dedicated to the competencies that Deloitte looks for during the insight.

Unfortunately each division sold themselves too well that it made it a bit too difficult to decide on a specific career path.

A magnificent, informal networking dinner at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel with many of the current employees. It was a great moment to ask any questions with regards to the firm, their experiences, etc. Furthermore there was always a networking session after each division gave their presentations.

Yes. The wide-variety of activities that employees involve themselves with ranging from football to literature was truly surprising.

Definitely attend this insight if you can. The opportunity to meet other like-minded people who are possibly interested in the same career path as you, and the opportunity to meet the staff at Deloitte is truly unparalleled.
