    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement opportunity has been a fantastic chance to implement my theoretical knowledge within a practical business environment. My role, as an Insight Analyst, has been incredible experience; significantly helping me to develop my interpersonal skills framework, by infusing key graduate competencies.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Throughout my time within the organisation; I felt highly valued, by my team and our internal customers. The importance of delivering high level management information on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; was greatly acknowledged and understood by the credit department. The respect and gratitude received for the work and our commitments, was highly commended.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The mentoring received throughout my employment was incredibly constructive, helping to grow my confidence within the business environment. My manager throughout this period progressively exposed me to more challenging scenarios whilst educating me about, stakeholder management and methods of best business practice. The monthly ‘catch-ups’ created a key insight into my performance, with comprehensive feedback provided.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As the responsibility grew within the job; so did the amount of work received, in addition to the number of stakeholders to manage. The small team of 4, I was member of, were always busy (which to be honest was better than being bored). Although the amount of work was not overwhelming, it could have been eased by extra pair of hands.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The responsibility, as stated in the question above, grew as I progressed and became more knowledgeable of the business. The continual networking undertaken helped to develop this, allowing me to engage and deliver key milestone to my internal customers on a frequent basis.
