    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Working within Intel was an eye opening experience which allowed me to experience the corporate world within an amazing culture.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People are quite friendly and are always open for questions and ready to help - all you have to do is ask.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Management was ready to help, support and guide me throughout my whole internship while also offering enough flexibility and freedom to allow for individuality and to carry out your workload as you'd like.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As it would be anyone's guess the workload is quite hefty, but you wouldn't expect anything else. The dynamic work place and load offers many opportunities to learn about different things, keep you busy and always offer you potential to do more.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • From day one, we were put in a team, where we were given a real problem that we had to work on, which would then be used by the whole team; meaning that there was enough responsibility. You had to meet deadlines and deliver; while you could also ask for more work if you felt like you could deal with more responsibilities.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • From the first day to the last, the whole experience was fantastic. You learn things by working, talking with people or even going to the pub with colleagues after work; which definitely assists to anything that you do post-internship.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • People work hard but are always fun to be around and everyone was ready for a laugh.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The whole internship was very well organised, as everything was explained to us from before-hand and everything was done in a very professional manner following the initial plan.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had a two full days financial crash course, while then received individual training on the job.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Socialising was great and the place was not very expensive.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in the city was a bit boring! Not too many pubs

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
