    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was very well organised and the HR team made particular effort to organise events, talks and social gatherings so that interns got the most out of their weeks with Savills

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The team was very welcoming and tried its best not only to accommodate me, but also to allow me to get involved in their work. They took time to explain things and gave me a variety of tasks to complete so that I wasn't just doing admin work, I felt as if I was really able to contribute.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My supervisor and managers were very keen to help me in any way they could, which was impressive considering how busy they were. Also, when it came to preparing for my interview later on in the placement, various team members took time out of their day to help me prepare and offer support and advice.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was lucky enough to be in a team that was busy and was able to pass work on to me. Sometimes I was very busy, which was not a problem as people would ask if I had capacity before giving me more tasks. At other times there would be a lull in the workload but that was just the nature of the team's workload.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As a non-cognate it would have been hard to give me too much responsibility. Nonetheless, the team tried to give me tasks of a slightly greater degree of importance when possible.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt a great deal, not just about the firm, how it works and its employees, but also from I have learnt technical skills which will be very useful in years to come when as I begin my career.

    5/5

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was very well organised, the HR team worked hard to make surely things flowed well and that interns were happy in their respective teams. HR members were also easily contactable and were approachable.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given access to all of the resources I needed and it was made clear that any expenses incurred for work would be reimbursed without hesitation. Staff were also keen to teach me about different issues where relevant and as part of the scheme, HR organised talks so that the interns could learn about the different departments within the company and also about the graduate development scheme as well.

    5/5
