    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement provided me an opportunity for personal development that I could never have anticipated. I got the opportunity to work on real projects.

  • I felt like a real member of the team and was made to feel welcome by everyone I met.

  • Despite my manager being based in a different office, she offered constant help, support and advice.

  • To begin with, it was a little slow as it took a while for my project to get started but after that it was more balanced.

  • I was surprised at how much responsibility I was given but relished the opportunity to achieve my full potential.

  • I have learnt so much about how to act in a corporate environment that I will take with me throughout the rest of my career.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It could be quite serious but thankfully lots of the other interns were in my office so I had plenty of fun with them.

  • It was very well run and the grad team were a pleasure to deal with.

  • There were next to no barriers in what we could do on this placement which was reassuring.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not as good as it could have been but I still had a good time!

  • Our accommodation near no good bars so taxis could be quite expensive.

  • We had to go to Windsor or London for nights out which were often expensive.

  • Loads of sports teams etc.
