The Role
A great insight into the actuarial profession and what it would be like to work for the company in a graduate position.
Very valued - colleagues seemed to really appreciate the work done by the interns.
I always felt like I could ask questions and everyone was very approachable.
I always had on-going jobs which could be worked upon if no other work was available. The summer internship project also filled in any spare time.
I felt that the jobs I was given were valuable to the team.
My presentation and team working skills have been developed further.
The Company
Professional, yet friendly atmosphere.
The organisation of the interviews right through to the final assessment day was impeccable.
We had two training sessions which gave us a crash course in the basics we needed to know.
The company said they would be interested in employing the interns depending on what jobs were available for the coming year.
The Culture
There were social events throughout the internship, such as lunches, drinks out when colleagues passed exams and when we finished our assessment, and cricket matches.
I think accommodation in general would be quite expensive close to work.
Pubs were very good in the local area, but I think you would want to go into London for nightlife.
As above, was asked to play in a cricket match which was great.
