The Role
I learned that the role wasn't for me, but I enjoyed the experience
I was doing important work that permanent employees didn't have enough time to do. I felt very highly valued.
I was left to work on my own but I had guidance when I needed it. I liked this independence.
I had a list to do and I worked through it at my own pace. Some days I would be busier than others.
I was responsible for my own jobs and I completed them
They helped me enhance the skills I already had. It helped me to get back into the routine of full time work.
The Company
Everyone was friendly, happy and it was a lovely environment to work with,
I didn't sign a contract and it was a struggle to get set up on payroll.
We had an ongoing training scheme with four sessions.
I know what I would like to go into and it isn't a career in Higher Education. However, the role did open my eyes to the vast variety of careers in HE.
The Culture
Everyone was lovely
Ok, its Birmingham after all.
Ok, but I didn't go out because all the other students had gone home!
