    • A good mix of informative sessions and opportunities to interact over case studies and business scenarios.

    • It was only a one-day insight so this question is not really relevant.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured- the timings allowed for travel to London from the Midlands with ease and the agenda for the day was well thought out as to avoid long periods of similar activity.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • People had come from all over the UK and everyone was happy to engage with one another. The business game was good fun and competitive!

    • The opportunity to talk to current employees across a range of disciplines within the Bank was particularly useful here.

    • Surprisingly, the culture was a lot more friendly and flexible than I had imagined.

    • Very grateful to have train tickets reimbursed.

    • Opportunities at lunch, in a panel session and again at the end of the day.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • very helpful and informal so it was easy to talk to employees about their day to day activities and educational/ work experience background before joining the Bank.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Gym memberships, season ticket loans- although salaries are slightly below that of private banking institutions, the benefits on offer surprised me.
