    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Some varied work but much of it was very mundane. However, the company seems to look after its staff well and is a nice environment to work in.

    • They let me get involved and game me responsibilities.

    • Managers were changing at the time so support and guidance was mainly supplied by other colleagues.

    • Sometimes there was very little work to do.

    • I had administrative access of the computer system and was delegated many important jobs.

    • Very little was learnt that would help me with my degree but got to see what working for a large company was like.

    • Very good atmosphere, staff very well looked after.

    • Not particularly well organised due to managers changing.

    • Very little invested as it was only a short placement.

    • I enjoyed the working environment but would like a more challenging job.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • No fellow placement students but other staff were all very friendly and welcoming and often shared lunch with members of the team.

    • About standard for the county/area.

    • Fairly good nightlife in Oxford City Centre.
