The Role
The work is engaging whilst the working environment is welcoming to interns.
I quickly transitioned to work in areas I was new to, but where I could contribute meaningfully. I was able to contribute in a way that my team found useful.
My manager gave me the support I needed to begin participate in the teams work, there is a well structured internship program meaning in the first few months I wasn't overwhelmed.
Though there have been times when I had little to do (only in the first few days) there has always been work to be done. All employees are encouraged to work at a balanced rate and the workflow of each team reflects that.
I have been given quite a bit of responsibility and I am treated professionally in that I have some control of the responsibilities I take on. From day one I was encouraged to take on as much responsibility as I could handle during the first few months of my internship whilst I was learning to the tools, structure and paradigms of the company.
Fantastically, I have learnt a range of practical skills that could not be taught in university.
The Company
Welcoming, interesting and fun.
It was well organised, there are plenty of opportunities to learn about the company and your place in it.

The Culture
There are work organised events but I am close enough to the centre of town to get to any other major event.
